By on October 7, 2013

For law firm web marketing, the concept of web marketing can be completely different from that of other firms. This is mainly due to the focus on online marketing channels. For attorneys to make more clients and contacts, using unconventional ways of web marketing can be crucial. It is also understood that for a law firm, blogs can be more powerful than websites. So, here are some online channels that attorneys need to focus on more specifically.

Content Web Marketing

Content marketing can be an extremely powerful source of web marketing for law firms as it can help them build trust and reliability. For law firms, two of the best ways to use content to their advantage include:

#1 Law Firm Web Marketing Blogs

Maintaining their own blog can be very useful for lawyer, even more than having their own website. When it comes to legal matters, people look for attorneys who can provide them with solutions and blogs, the latter which are a perfect platform to display your expertise in specific area of law.

#2 Guest Articles

Another way for your online marketing strategy is making guest posts on other well-known legal platforms. This won’t only give you exposure to a larger audience, but can also increase the rating of your own website or blog if you provide backlinks with relevant information.

Social Media Web Marketing

Another useful online marketing tool that a law firm can use to its advantage is social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter in that particular order. Being a professional network, LinkedIn is highly effective for lawyers to connect with their peers and other people who are more relevant to their network. However, Facebook is also an effective platform if you are looking to make a one-on-one relationship with your audience in a more casually interactive environment. Twitter is also highly effective for attorneys to ensure that they always stay on the top of people’s minds.

As a law firm, now is the time for you to look beyond traditional marketing channels and focus on more relevant web marketing tools. A competent web marketing firm can help you design an effective strategy that is focused towards tools more useful for law firms, so don’t hesitate to use its services.

Increasing your online presence with social media is not optional now-a-days. If your branding is not top-notch on all the social networks you can say good-bye to being on top of your niche (area of law)

At least registering your brand name on all the social networks will increase your presence online. Registering so someone can’t, is a good idea. If someone comes by with your brand name and registers all the sites, guess what, you can’t now.

A sign of bad branding is when you Google your companies brand name and the first page is filled with stuff unrelated to you. If you Google something like CNN, the first page is all about them and it’s because they hire the best in social media in the world.
